The Malleables Gilet for Svenssons Textiles
For the opening of Stockholm Design Week 2025, Ludvig Svensson Textiles presented Malleables, an exhibition by designer Shane Schneck in collaboration with Angelo da Silveira. Da Silveira contribution The Malleables Reversible Gilet, reinterpreting classic workwear through a sculptural and contemporary lens, inspired by Shane Schneck’s furniture design and Svensson’s century-long textile heritage.







Founded in 1887 in Kinna, Sweden the family-owned Ludvig Svensson continues to produce textiles in-house, merging craftsmanship and innovation. Over the past 138 years, the focus has mainly been on creating textiles of the highest quality through sustainable materials and craftsmanship. With A little over a year ago, a first external design collaboration was initiated with the design duo TAF, who, among other things, created the company’s new showroom in Stockholm where Malleables was showcased. With Malleables, the brand expands its creative dialogue between fashion, furniture, and textile design.
Product details
The gilet is meticulously crafted by Unitex tailors using Easy, a 330 gsm wool-blend fabric developed by Svenssons Textiles and used by Shane for his sculptural furniture collection. Designed with duality at its core, the piece features a two-way metal zipper that enables full reversibility, with each side revealing its own character.
