Prix d’Amérique Couture Jacket for Björn Goop x ATG
In a unique fusion of fashion and sport, Angelo da Silveira was appointed to create a custom “haute couture” jacket for Swedish harness racing legend Björn Goop to wear at the prestigious Prix d’Amérique in Paris 2024. The Prix d’Amérique down jacket is designed to combine craftsmanship with bold silhouettes. Its exaggerated shape and collar give it a sculptural presence, while the chrome side-belt buckle and matching metal zipper add refined, functional details. The glossy yellow lining brings a dramatic contrast to the design. Every stitch is made in Sweden by skilled tailors, resulting in a unique piece that balances comfort and elegance.

Björn Goop is one of the world’s most celebrated harness racing drivers, known for his precision, discipline, and artistry on the track. The Grand Prix d’Amérique, first held in 1920, is the world’s most prestigious harness race, run annually at the Vincennes Hippodrome in Paris. The collaboration was highlighted as an unexpected meeting between fashion and equestrian sport, merging performance and elegance on the racetrack. Goop wore the design to embody, as Da Silveira described it, the feeling of being a “emperor in Paris, representing Sweden.
